“Growing Towards Wellness – From Heritage to New Beginnings” is a community based integration project that supports magingalised members of the Rockingham and Kwinana area in an adult education and learning program.

Heritage to New Beginnings provided a safe supported site where participants experienced real industry work conditions, often either for
the first time or in a very long time given, due to mental health issues.

The project also raised the profile of mental illness within the local community in a highly positive and active way, with participants undertaking necessary work in a local museum with much praise and heartfelt gratitude from the museum custodians.
